About the Doctors
Ira J. Stein, D.D.S., F.A.G.D.
Dr. Stein received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from New York University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. His general practice residency was at Jewish Memorial Hospital in New York. He pursued post-graduate studies at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, and the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Stein is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut Dental Association, Naugatuck Valley Dental Society and the Naugatuck Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Jay L. Dworkin, D.M.D
Dr. Dworkin graduated from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, then graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. His general practice residency was at Jewish Memorial Hospital in New York. He pursued post-graduate studies at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, New York University, and the Institute for Advanced Dentistry in Boston. He is an active member and past president of the Naugatuck Valley Dental Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and the Southbury Business Association. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists.
Robert L. Lerman, D.M.D.
ROBERT L. LERMAN, D.M.D. graduated from Queens College (B.A.), and the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). His general practice residency was at Southbury Training School in Southbury, Connecticut; his Pediatric Dental Residency was at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Lerman has served as president of the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists and the Naugatuck Valley Dental Society. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Society of Dentistry for Children, and the American Society of Pediatric Dentistry. He has served as the director of dentistry at Griffin Hospital. Dr. Lerman is the author of articles published in the Journal of Pedodontics and the Journal of Dentistry for Children.
Stephen C. DiBenedetto, D.D.S.
Dr. Stephen C. DiBenedetto graduated from Bethel High School, earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He pursued post-graduate studies at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr DiBenedetto has been a provider of outreach dental services in Latin America. He is the recipient of the Horace Wells Trust award. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Southbury Business Association.
Lauren DiBenedetto
Dr. Lauren DiBenedetto graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Public Health. She went on to earn her DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry. There, she was awarded for excellence in Pediatric Dentistry at and served as the President of the Pediatric Dental Society. Dr. DiBenedetto then completed her residency training in Pediatric Dentistry at Yale New Haven Hospital and is currently working to become a Board Certified Diplomate of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
